The Fastnet Race rightly has the reputation for being one of the toughest yacht races in the world. It can be the ultimate sailing challenge for those who want to stretch themselves to the limit. But In a break from its 95-year history The Royal Ocean Racing club have changed the finish line of this famous race. It will be just as grueling but the finish line is not off the Hoe in Plymouth but off the breakwater in Cherbourg via the Fastnet Rock off South west tip of Ireland.
