Cowes Week is the pinnacle of summer sailing in the UK. A legendary regatta where hundreds of yachts of every size and shape take to the Solent. With an inshore race every day, competitive fleets, and unforgettable shore-side events, this is the regatta every sailor wants to be part of.

The Racing

  • One inshore race daily around Solent racing marks
  • Starts ~10:00, finishes late afternoon – plenty of time for racing & après-sail
  • Competitive racing with an experienced skipper – this is about cannon finishes, not just participation
  • No prior sailing experience needed – informal race tuition throughout the week

 

Onboard, you’ll learn and take part in:

✅ Crew positions & teamwork
✅ Sail trimming (upwind & downwind)
✅ Boat speed & helming to a compass course
✅ Race tactics, boat handling & navigation

The Socials

Evenings in Cowes are legendary. Expect:
