This year sees the inaugural RORC ile d’Ouessant Race (Ushant Race) and we have put together what we feel would be a great introduction to offshore racing particularly if you are thinking of competing in the Fastnet 2017
Windward Sailing has over the last 20 years taken enthusiastic sailors and trained them to a race winning team. We have had many successes in offshore racing and we believe by offering a campaign we have the opportunity to build a better team every time we go out racing. By the time the actual Ushant Race comes along we will be more than ready for it.
The Ushant Campaign includes a training weekend Solent Based and the RORC Channel Race prior to the Ushant Race itself. The weekend dates are qualifying race are proposed to be
16th July - Training Weekend
30th July – Channel Race - 24 hour race around various Channel markers
14th August ile d’Ouessant Race
The race is planned to start from Cowes, head West towards Wolf Rock, then turning South to Ushant before returning East along the French coast to finish in St Malo.
Experience Required
To join the Ushant Campaign you need not have previous racing experience as this will come as we all sail together throughout the season. What you will need is enthusiasm for the cause to get the team across the line in first place.
Cost: £1,595 per person. (£595 deposit to book a place + 2 x £500 instalments)

All race entry and mooring fees, training weekend, qualifying RORC Channel race, the Ushant Race and delivery back, professional racing skipper and mate, accommodation on board, food aboard yacht whilst racing and training, branded team shirt.
