R.C.Y.C ACC Bank Cork Week 10th – 16th July
ISORA Race Week was hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club in 1976 and its success led to the club deciding to host its own biennial regatta. The first Cork Week took place off Cork Harbour in 1978. From small beginnings with just over 50 boats, the event prospered through the enthusiastic endeavours of volunteer club members. It now boasts entries of over 400.
The amazingly competitive racing in the challenging waters, in, around and outside Cork Harbour is a magnet for sailors, while everyone enjoys the extensive tented village and nightly entertainment.

For this regatta we will leave the Solent on Wednesday 7th July giving us plenty of time for the passage to Crosshaven. This time will be spent familiarising yourselves with the boat in readiness for our first race on Sunday. It is competitive inshore racing at its most exciting. Open waters and free flowing Guinness. For the uninitiated, you’ve seen nothing until you’ve seen Cork week up close and personal. The best sailing you will ever have experienced and the legendary hospitality of the Royal Cork Yacht Club await you in Crosshaven. The courses are set each day and will be a variety of windward/leeward and Olympic courses. An experience not to be missed.
