Royal Ocean Racing Club - Cervantes Trophy Race - Cowes - Le Havre
Saturday 1st – 3rd May - (Bank Holiday)
An early morning start to this race sees the races committee set the course just before the start of the race. The race is designed as a 24 – 36 hour endurance race and the course will reflect the weather conditions of the day. Navigators love it! In the past this style of race encompasses all points of sail and so it will be a good test bed on crew work.
Because of the early start you will need to be in Cowes at sometime to suit you Friday evening. Most of the racing will be done during daylight hours, so is an ideal race for those who really want to get a feel of what the boat can achieve before darkness falls.
COURSE: Suitable flexi-course finishing in Le Havre will be designed to last between 24 and 36 hours.
