This is the final race of the RORC Offshore calendar. Traditionally a well-turned out race with all competing yachts for the season out to get the final points for their class Championships. This race usually is the critical race as these last minute potential points can become the deciding factor of which yacht wins the series and championships. The Cherbourg race is a relatively short race of 75 miles straight across the English Channel to Cherbourg. On entering the port in the early hours it is the steadfast that go in search of a bar! There is always time for a meal ashore during Saturday, and we plan to leave after lunch and the prizegiving to return to home waters on Sunday.
COURSE: Direct to Cherbourg Approximately 78 miles
