ARC FINISH

Thursday, December 11, 2008
Incisor arrived at Rodney Bay in bright sunshine with a jubilant crew after being at sea for 16 days 23 hours and 30 minutes.

This year saw quite a slow race for most of the competitors due to poor weather conditions in the mid Atlantic.
With a lot of hard work and determination over the duration of the whole race we crossed the finish line 17th out of 255 boats that started. We are the smallest boat to have arrived out of the ones that have sailed rather than motored so are quite pleased to have beaten so many of the larger boats out there.
The crew were very pleased to stand on dry land again and were very grateful for the warm reception we received from the staff and other competitors who met us with blaring horns , whistles and cheers.
Already some of the crew are talking about competing again next year aboard Venomous so even though it was hard work, the crew are keen for more.
So for now the crew deserve a couple of days to let their hair down and then it's back to the real world which I suspect does not include sitting around in shorts and flip flops but more likely jumpers and coats.
From all the crew aboard Incisor, thanks for your support and don't forget you too can do this next year.
